Meet our designers
Meet the people behind every finished room.
Before we come to you, we'd like to introduce ourselves.
Every one of our designers comes to your home — to your actual rooms, your actual light. They listen first, recommend second, and don't leave you with a decision that doesn't feel right.

Alicia Stokes
Design Consultant
Before specializing in window treatments, Alicia spent years in full-service interior design working with custom furniture and luxury textiles. She came to this industry because she realized that window treatments sit at the intersection of everything she loves — design, craftsmanship, and the kind of functional problem-solving that quietly transforms how a room feels. She's honest, she's decisive, and she has a particular talent for helping homeowners discover that they're capable of much bolder choices than they think. Off the clock, you'll find her coaching travel volleyball across the Twin Cities.

Lisa Scammahorn
Design Consultant
After 38+ years in window treatments, Lisa could probably diagnose your light control issues from the driveway. She's the consultant who sees the whole room — not just the windows — and who'll gently point out that the color you picked looks totally different at 7pm than it does at 7am. Her clients call her creative, funny, and mindful, and she's become the person her own teammates go to when a project needs fresh eyes. Off the clock, she's kayaking or running the Minneapolis lakes, because apparently four decades of expertise doesn't slow her down.

Ashley Heinen
Design Consultant
Ashley has an Interior Design degree and spent years working with window treatments at big-box retailers before coming to Little Blind Spot — which means she's seen firsthand what happens when homeowners settle for less than the right product. (Spoiler: she spends a lot of her time now replacing shades that don't actually block the light they were supposed to.) She came to LBS because she wanted to work with quality she could stand behind, and clients say the best thing about working with her is simple: "That was easy." When she's not helping you pick the perfect fabric texture, she's probably at Home Depot buying supplies for her own never-ending renovation projects.

Linda Strandberg
Design Consultant
With three decades of experience in custom home furnishings and window treatments, Linda brings the kind of expertise that doesn't need to announce itself. She's patient, detail-oriented, and known for guiding homeowners through decisions without ever making the process feel rushed or formulaic. One thing she wants every client to know: you don't have to use the same treatment in every room. In fact, mixing styles is often what makes a home feel cohesive instead of cookie-cutter. When she's not working, she's on the River Bluff trails in Bloomington.

Nancy Spetz
Design Consultant · Interior Design degree · Returned to the industry she loves
Nancy first worked in window treatments back in the '90s, stepped away, and eventually found her way back several years ago — because some things just stay with you. With a degree in Interior Design and a knack for narrowing a hundred options down to the three that actually make sense for your home, your light, and your budget, she makes the decision process feel manageable instead of overwhelming. Clients describe her as friendly, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable — and she'll spend as much time as you need to get it right. When she's not working, she's walking the Minneapolis lakes with her dogs, digging in the garden, or hitting local record stores with her teenage daughter.

Julie Davies
Design Consultant
Julie's path into window treatments started from the other side of the consultation — she was a customer. Twice. She loved the experience so much that after a corporate career and 12 years at home raising her kids, she decided to make it her profession. That was over a decade ago, and she still brings that customer-first instinct to every project: she thinks about how a treatment will actually function five years from now, not just how it looks on day one. Outside of work, she's the friend who throws elaborately themed dinner parties, golfs with her family, and always knows where to find live music — ask her about Danny's in Stillwater.
Alaina Platt
Design Consultant
Alaina is the consultant who's still thinking about your windows long after the installation is done — because she's already planning for the next room. She's built her reputation at Little Blind Spot on being friendly, honest, and impossible to rush: she'll make sure you've considered the light at 2pm and the privacy at 9pm before you commit to anything. Clients tend to come back to her for project after project, which is exactly how she likes it. When she's not working, she's outside — hiking new trails, walking her dog, or camping with her kids somewhere in Minnesota.
Every great rooms started with a conversation.
